My Trip to Halifax

So Mason and I went to Halifax last week, as you all know, to attend the Nova Scotia Designer Craft Council Summer Show. The show was nice.

Here is a snap shot of my booth. Its nothing fancy, it will evolve, it was kind of a last minute sling together thing. The jury is still out on the success of this show. I sold some pots, but more importantly I got picked up by two new galleries. The weather was really HOT on Friday and Saturday, and I had a massive clear plastic panel as the roof to my booth.  Amplifying the heat, and making the pots nearly too hot to pick up. Saturday afternoon was really slow, because the Pride Parade was happening, right in front of my booth. Mason darted off with my pink canon to take some pics of the excitement.
Gene Simmonds would totally wear those boots
These guys were awesome!
even the unions have pride round these parts!
what the hell is that thing?
I don't know what to say about this one, I mean silver spandex? really? and a gas mask? I dunno.

Oh golly, outdoor fairs are a bit exhausting sometimes aren't they? Your booth looks most wonderful :) As for the pride parade, you can see a lot of exuberant styles, eh wot?

these are the tame shots.... we had lots of Pride participants shopping after the parade. and yes, outdoor fairs wipe me out! I keep forgetting just how much energy they require. It probably doesn't help when you stay up drinking red wine and socializing with your cousin til wee hours...

That pride parade looks like so much more fun than the Des Moines parade where no one even freaking tries! God that pisses me off. This looks great! So does your booth!
