Groton, NY

The other day I was envious of all your cool sleeping hobo photos.  I mentioned that I lived a sheltered life.  I live in Groton, NY.  Garry says it's a cool town.  It's got one of everything.  One gas station, one grocery store, two art galleries but soon to be one. :-(, one famous person (but we forgot who it was), one Ice Cream Caboose, one liquor store, one live bait vending machine, one post office, one fire department, one police department, one police car, one toxic waste site (former Smith Corona Factory), one former Fish Factory, one elementary school, one high school, one American Legion,...  I think you get the point.

I stopped at the one art gallery that is closing shop.  This was the place of my first Art Opening.  The owner is fantastic, and I'm going to miss her shop.  Her son is so much fun, and he was having fun with chalk on the sidewalk.  So today's photo contains lots of happy carnage.  It may not be a sleeping hobo, but it's one kid's imagination of one.

I love it! That kid must be fun as hell! I want someone to outline me on the sidewalk.
