off like a......

Stevo's son had his prom this past weekend, and there have been limos all over. Prom season. Got me thinking about proms.
My school was K-12 in one building, about 100 high schoolers total. Our prom was pizza in the gym, any jr-high to high schooler allowed. I had, i think, 2-3 invitations: Becky from next door, who had introduced me to cheap jug wine and toga frat parties at age 16 and who had a 22 year old sometime boyfriend named Warren, Christine who was sweet and beautiful and a cheerleader and way out of my league, but she liked me for some reason,(we had typing together and I cracked jokes and managed to pass with a 72 grade--and the question I have asked ever since, considering I dated Christine for months, is why didn't I ever make a pass?) and the 12 year old cousin of my friend OJ. Funny to think, that 12 year old is now 40, and the difference between 40 and my 44 is nothing, whereas the difference between 16 and 12 is like the difference between Utah and New York. I did not go to the prom.
ANYWAY, at that time, and now, I was not a prom person. I was thinking about the PUNK aesthetic: either no prom, and off having your own wild party with your nasty friends, or go to the prom all gothed up or with a green mohawk.
I know Kasey's brother took Becky here to the prom, with a second girl (2 dates!) but I was wondering if any of you other BABBs were prom people?

Well, G, you're close. Will took me and Jessica to Homecoming my senior year. :)

I went to my senior prom with Nick Kiley, and to be honest, I don't quite know why he asked me, but I was happy to have a date. I actually had a boyfriend at the time, but he said he didn't want to "Go to some lame HS prom".. so he didn't. ;)

Prom was at the Botanical Center and then we went to some skating rink for the after prom party... a hypnosis guy whose name I can never remember, and Casino night where you could win stuff like TV's and sleeping bags. You can guess which prize I won... not the TV. It was a lot of fun, and Nick is fun, so we had a good time.

I went to prom with Phil. Ours was at the Botanical Center as well, the place is SUPER humid so all the people that got fancy hairdos were having a hell of a time. I'll scan in a prom picture sometime this week. I wore a short dress that cost me 15 dollars. It was sort of hologram-esque. Like a femme-bot. We had dinner at Subway and afterwards went to Fran's house where me and Phil watched Fran's home movies and other people got drunk. Fran's date later proved himself to be a total ass. He drank windshield washer fluid AND LATER told my Dad all about the evening trying to get me in trouble with my Dad. Didn't work. My Dad just ended up yelling at him for trying to get me in trouble. Still see the guy around town. But I don't hold a grudge...

Fran's date? Who was Fran's jerky date? Was it some jerk that I would know?

You as a femme-bot? I gotta see that. :)
