Summer Cocktail Attire

So we don't get to dress up much here in Ithaca. Especially since most of the time I work at home by myself in various iterations of mismatched pajamas and wee tank tops that make me look both ways for the neighbors when I get the mail. Going out to the Chapterhouse sometimes involves looking nice, because Gary is going to blog it. Market weekends allow for some presentation too.

But last night I got to indulge my inner fashionista, at a wedding celebration that asked for "summer cocktail attire." Oh yeah! My thrift-store-fueled closet exists for moments like this.

Lovely! Although I enjoy hanging in my pjs until noon everyday since I work from home - it is nice every once is a very great while to get dressed up. :)

Very nice! I also have a very substantial collection of tank tops... but a few dresses too.. not many. ;)

LOVE it!!! Our last road trip netted India a Betsy Johnson dress, and a handpainted silk cocktail dress. But, NOWHERE to wear them in Cape Breton., sigh...
