AT BENJI's house when.....

.....Benji is not around. I had to drop a couple of things at ben's and he was not sure if he would be around. he was not, although there were, per usual, lots of other people around and the cute little dog who hangs at the blacksmiths...forget his name. ANYWAY, just because Ben was not around, didn't mean I was not gonna get a couple of pics. Ben lives in probably the cleanest ancient old barn you have ever seen....Ben likes things clean, and I have no doubt that even if a guy like me does not care, perhaps Ben's lady friends appreciate it. I had to take a leak, and when I think about it, could have used the bushes (tres convenient) but helped myself and went on into ben's place and used his immaculate john, and took pics of 2 of ben's stunning paintings in there. You know Ben has done sculptural ceramics lately, and does total abstraction and also abstracted landscapes, but one thing you may not know is that Ben has the skill to paint a picture THAT IS AS PERFECT as a PHOTO. SO LIFELIKE AND REAL you could walk into it. Ben is an AMAZING and talented artist, huge range of talent and skill. The semi-topless lady here reaching into her pants is a small part of a much larger painting hanging over the toilet.
Ben's place has several artists living and working on an old farm, and dig the apple trees with the ancient car skeleton, and Ben's mailbox!

Gary - thanks so much for this awesome blog post!! Youre the best, i'm gonna send this to me ma. And thanks for the delivery - the bowl from cornell didnt come out as bad as i imagined - it actually looked really good - that green glaze is remarkable, like a coating of jade. I gave it to Erin to give to her parents as a gift this weekend. And i like the mold very much - i guess i'll be repeating this in an email but thanks again.
