As you know, the first ever BABB meetup was this weekend in Kansas City. Well, sort of. My wife Maude went to see her mom in Kansas City and Kasey grabbed her Scott and ran down to KC. They have, according to all reports, partied in a way befitting BAMF artists. More on that in a later post.
For now, dig this extraordinary tune. Kasey sent me a mix CD last week which I have been playing over and over, as befits the guy left at home while the wife meets the friends, and this thing really struck me. I know this band, but had not heard this tune. The studio version features more of the wonderful woman's vocals, but this is a great live performance and thanks Kasey for going to KC and introducing this to me.

I also received a mix from Kasey that turned me on to some new sounds. What I found so funny was that she included some tunes from one of my favorite albums of all time, Mermaid Avenue. Great minds think alike? I'm working on one to send to her now ;)
