Recipes: Weird Eater Style

I don't really have any exciting recipes that are all of my own. There is a cookie recipe I know by heart.
The recipe for no-bake cookies. I made them all the time growing up. I loved helping my mom make cookies. We didn't call these no-bake cookies growing up. We called them turd cookies and we all thought we were so super hilarious. Even my Mom and Dad called them turd cookies. Cuz that's appetizing. Yum. Anyways the recipe...

Get a saucepan and you'll need:
2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup of cocoa powder
1 stick of butter
Mix all that together and bring it to a boil. Let it boil for one minute and remove it from heat.
Then mix in:
3 cups of quick oatmeal
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1 tsp of vanilla
Get some wax paper and spoon cookies to cool.

This next recipe is going to horrify some of you. I'm sorry in advance. It's from an old post of mine. A food I love.

............................................................................................

I’m a fairly (very) picky eater. I don’t like chinese food, mexican food from restaurants and probably all other ethnicities of food other than Italian. I put ketchup on everything which causes me great anxiety at restaurants. I don’t like how fancy restaurants will try to shame me about my ketchup love. Just let me live my life!

So now I will tell you about one of my favorite foods which sounds weird but is delicious.
It’s bologna, dipped in egg and then dipped in cracker crumbs. Then you fry it up on a skillet. Yum.

For those at home that are dying to try this out here is an explanation of how it's done.

Ok people. Now I realize you’re all probably overwhelmed with
the fanciness of all of this. We all deserve to treat ourselves now and again.

Those are great cookies. I've had them several times, but I have never heard them called turd cookies. From now on when I see them, I'll think think of that name and have a smile on my face.

What's the strangest thing that you put ketchup? My wife and kids like it on Macaroni and Cheese. I like it on baked beans.

Kasey, I ate a lot of Fried balogna as a kid. We used to call it newfie steak. I haven't had it in years, but now am suddenly craving it...

Mmm... turd cookies. Yum.

Brian eats Ketchup on his eggs.. I dip my grilled cheese in it. :)

I'll drink the Kool-Aid! (as long as it doesn't smell like cyanide... wait, does cyanide have a smell?)

I don't know what the weirdest thing is. Some things I didn't know were weird until I went out in the world and got looks.
I dip potato chips in ketchup.
Baked potatoes
I put it in baked beans too
Eggs
Fish
Grilled Cheese
Steak
Ham
All meats really. There's not a meat I will eat without ketchup.

Turd cookies- brilliant!
I don't put ketchup on much stuff, but I do put hot sauce on nearly everything. (Frank's Hot Sauce, no imitations accepted.)
Pizza, scrambled eggs, mac & cheese, hash browns, fries, tater tots, grilled cheese. I blame it on growing up near Buffalo.

Turd cookies sound really yummy! When I used to take care of our granddaughter when she was small we were seriously thinking of buying stock in Heinz Ketchup...She ate it by the vats, Ketchup on absolutely everything! lol lol lol...:) The funny thing is she hated any kind of tomatoe sauce, soup, or just plain ole tomatoes...lol lol lol...:) But Ketchup is her passion to this day!
Lol lol lol...:)

I just caught the connection. Elvis painting, Fried Bologna. Coincidence? I don't think so. Is Elvis living in your basement?
